As a professional groomer, I'm extremely aware that one of the primary things that makes grooming is drying. The quality of the dryer itself, knowing how to properly use it, truly drying the dog and in a way that's optimal for their coat. Part of that is the fluff dry, but when you're a tiny business, it's just not possible to buy everything a larger salon can. I have desperately needed a stand dryer for years so I could properly and more easily brush while drying, but I was so fixed on that, that I kept ignoring this solution. Was that a mistake!After deciding that this was a solution, I looked into several brands and styles. So many of them are, frankly, janky. At best, designed to hold a human hair dryer of minimal size. (As an aside, people, please, I am begging you, do not dry your dog in this way! I see this so often in reviews. These aren't appropriate for use on dogs, it isn't just some industry snobbery, it's dangerous as well as ineffective.) They absolutely would not stand up to this use, no matter how much "professional grooming" was put on the item! Legitimate professional grooming dryers have a LOT of force, I needed a real table clamp, like on grooming table arms, a sturdy but flexible pole to position it, and a strong gripping clamp to hold the hose/hose nozzles. Preferably without spending over half of what my dryer itself cost!This one appeared identical to the more expensive ones, so, I gave it a try.Today, I finally got to literally try it out on one of my (admittedly, favorite) grooming clients, a tiny Pomeranian. Like a lot of dogs, Puff isn't a fan of having her head and ears dried as fully as they need to be. She also needs fluff drying as well as deshedding and other handheld drying.I know the pictures aren't great due to my experimenting and being watchful of her responses (I'm not a "force them through it" groomer, if they aren't calm and cooperative, I work with them until they are), but you can see the attachment holding the hose without nozzle in the background of the first picture. It's on and blowing her "Pom mane" and side. The next one, it's more obviously in use, and the last one, the attachment is visible behind a fully finished Puff. Her ears and head got fully dry with absolutely no stress, she was fabulously fluffed despite us working through some coat damage still, and I can't even begin to explain how much easier and nicer it was to be able to properly brush while drying again! For this price!!Additionally, having both hands available means I can better interact with the dogs again while drying, not just regarding grooming needs like the brushing. I can pet, reassure, and reward dogs way more naturally, and that's very important when I have dogs that are working through anxiety and phobias associated with noise and grooming, or puppies being positively exposed to grooming.I've seen the complaint a few times that these are hard to position, very stiff...I'm going to reiterate, you want and need it to be! You do not want the entire thing crashing off of wherever you're drying your dog, or the hose flying out of control. Both are terrifying to the dog, and the latter can hurt quite a lot if it hits you or the dog. Less dramatically, if the flexible hose isn't stiff, it's going to be useless if it drops out of position or otherwise moves about while drying. This stays perfectly in the position you put it in! Just practice with it and appreciate that it's a quality product doing what it's supposed to do!Buy it. Not only is it Pomeranian and groomer (this one, anyway) approved, it's not every day that something under fifty bucks is a game changer.

This clip is strong and attaches nicely to the dog grooming table. It does hold a regular hand held hair dryer as recommended by other buyers and can be positioned several ways. My only disappointment is that when the dryer is on the arm, it will not blow warm air. It is so much nicer to have two hands to brush while drying, but I am going to have to try something else.

I bought this hose holder at the same time that I bought a dog grooming dryer. The dryer had a screeching sound so I sent it back. I really, really wanted this hose holder to work with a hair dryer. I loved it because it is very heavy duty and made well. It felt sturdy when attached to my grooming table. It came wrapped and was packed with a lot of care. However, I decided that I didn't want to deal with needing to buy a more expensive grooming dryer to get one that didn't screech and this did not work with either hair dryer that I tried using with it. I am so disappointed because this is a great hose holder.

The grip on this this is incredible. The strength is top of line. I put it to the test with a 6000watt 100mph wind force dryer and it never wavered. Bought 3 more for every table in shop with extra one for customer wash table. 100 stars!

In the beginning the arm worked very well. I was able to blow out my poodles coats and brush at the same time. Now the arm won’t hold up, like it’s lost durability to hold the hose still at the head. So it flops over. Not sure if I just over used the product or just not made for longevity in mind

Great quality and sturdy. Worth the cost every day. I'm a groomer in a busy shop. I use it every day. Coat prep is everything. I can hold a nervous pup with one hand or move pup around and brush with my other. Saves so much time and helps prep coats with ease. Just buy it you'll thank yourself.
