Bought this to keep a check on my racing heart and lung capacity. I use it every day and find it invaluable. Wouldn't be without it now.It's small and neat so fits easy in the smallest bag. The numbers are large and clear. So all in all a good and practical buy. Love the pink colour too.

At first, I thought that it wasn't reading accurately but then discovered, by testing it against other SPO2 monitors, that my O2 saturation was down. It is accurate enough for first aid or assessing the need for pre-hospital treatment.

I have copd so need to keep an eye on my blood oxygen levels and this helps me to know when it is low so that I can take measures to try to boost my percentage so yes very pleased with it

Works a treat

I have been using this for quite a while and it's the best oximeter I've got (out of about 5!)... and that's not just because it's pink instead of the standard blue, really! The display is bright, and there are brightness options in the settings menu (which is easy to use). There are a bunch of different display options and orientations (just press the button again to change it). It takes about three seconds to read your pulse and oxygen, and I've found that it is just as accurate as any other fingertip oximeter I've used, with a few extra features.

I love this thing. I have a black one of a different model which I use inside the house, this one was to have for travel. I like the little readout of the heart rate though it doesn't always work or ever appear. I believe cold fingers or weather interferes so before using be sure to rub fingers and hands. It's easy to use, goes on fast and securely. In cold weather it seems to take a longer time to read. When compared to our other machine or the home health nurses it gives accurate readings. The little rubber sheath that you can put around it with the lanyard on it is great too. Protects it, makes it easier to grip and to wear when being active but still needing those readings.Recommend highly.

After having somehow lost my old oxygen/heart rate monitor, I searched for a new one that wasn't too expensive yet would give me accurate results. I read tons of reviews about a number of them and decided to go with the Acc U Rate CMS 500D. It was affordable, had great reviews and I could get it in pink so it didn't look so "medical". I have a heart rhythm disorder which causes intense heart racing. I use these finger monitors to keep track of my heart rate as well as my oxygen because I tend to breathe very shallowly when I have an episode so I do need accuracy.This unit came quickly and looks exactly like the photo. It has a soft silicone sheath in pink over it which is removable but I like it the way it is. It also came with a cute pink neck lanyard that I can use to wear the unit around my neck. That will come in handy when the dreaded arrhythmia kicks in and I can't think let alone look around for anything. I need it right where I can grab it.The unit comes with two AAA batteries which was a plus. They are easy to insert and then it is ready to go. There is no complicated programming involved. I tried it the second I inserted the batteries and it felt nice and secure on my slim finger unlike my previous one that never really felt as though it had a good grip.The results were fast and only took seconds. As long as I kept my finger in the unit, it continued to display my O2 and heart rate in real time going up and down slightly as my rates changed. Once I established that the unit worked, I removed my finger and it shut off by itself after just a few seconds.I then took a little time to check out the features. I love that I can change the direction of the display. My old unit was awkward to read because the numbers were pointing away from me and I needed to contort my hand to read them. Not so with this unit. I set it up to display vertically and it's so much easier for me to read especially when I am in SVT and everything is foggy.A push of the button will change the direction of the numbers even while on the finger so you can find the best way for you (or a caretaker) to read the results. The display is bright and easy to read offering a larger display for those who prefer it. I love that feature and, again, it was just a button push away. Also you can change the brightness of the display but I find it really perfect as it is. Still, an advanced feature for such an inexpensive unit.The owner's manual, which is just in English which is refreshing, explains how to set up alarms for alerting people that their O2 level is too low or to indicate going out of range for your heart rate. These are features I did not have on my more expensive unit. As well, there is a battery strength indicator right on the display so you always know where you stand with battery power. Another really great feature.But all this is not what makes this unit stand out. It's the accuracy that does it for me. As far as my heart rate, I checked it with my phone's built in heart rate monitor, manually and with my blood pressure cuff. This unit was accurate every time - more accurate in fact than my blood pressure monitor. I checked my O2 at the doctor's office today and it was exactly as the medical device they were using. In fact, the nurse commented that she loved the Acc U Rate's color and display and had me write down the model number for her.This really is a steal. I actually am happy I lost my old unit. I thought I was buying an inexpensive replacement which I was but I got so much more than I had before. The features, the accuracy, the solid build, and even the cute pink color and lanyard go beyond what my old unit offered and that one was pricey.I am very pleased with the Acc U Rate CMS 500D and recommend it to anyone. It's accurate which is the most important thing of all, especially when I need to know exactly how fast my heart is beating and whether I am starting to lose oxygen because I am not able to to get enough during the episodes. It's a matter of going to the ER or not so I want to be sure whatever unit I use is going to be spot on every time. Although I have not owned this for a long time - and will update this review after a few months - I am very confident that I made the right choice.

Awesome purchase. I'm a night nurse and Acc U Rate CMS 50D Pulse Ox is perfect for me. I am able to slip into patient's rooms and get a quick pulse ox without waking them. I love that you are able to view the heart rhythm. A great purchase and fairly accurate pulse ox reading. Heart rate is usually in very close rang or dead on.

the CMS500D is a marked improvement over the prior model. I need a lanyard that is a break away for safety reasons. So I just changed from the one on the old model to the new. The convenient case is a plus. Compared to the hospital professional oximeter ( one on each hand ) the readings were identical. I am very satisfied with this product.

Thank you for this great product. I am able to easily check my oxygen levels as well as heart rate. The alarms are a great feature. I have had other brands, and this one came with a cover, lanyard, batteries. You can easily change the direction of the number readings, making this very convenient. You cannot beat the value of the quality of this monitor and the low price! The monitor is also durable and accurate. thanks will do business again!

Functional and cute! Works perfectly and is accurate. Comfortable on the finger and the display can be adjusted to allow several different viewing options. The display is bright and easy to read. Included is a nice protective case in a soft rubber and has a nice long lanyard type cord for around the neck wearing for easy use any time! Love this oximeter!

This works well -- good fit, no issues getting a reading, very easy to read screen with multiple views and orientations (nice touch). I really like the way it looks, and I appreciate the non-medical vibe. Being able to enjoy the objects you interact with is worth more than you might think

Positively, it works, but I do not know how long will last. I showed this device to my doctor and compared with his own. Both matched the reading, Because of my condition, I take a reading 4 times a day and keep alert about it. So far, the best part: "it works for me".

I bought this when it became necessary for me to monitor my pulse regularly. Nothing could be easier, and it gives me data I can report to my doctor. And it agrees with the one at his office, which is a plus.

This is the oximeter that you need to buy. Very durable and accurate. I like the soft pink color and the silicone case that comes with it. Batteries and lanyard are also included. GREAT value for your money. I ordered one for my mother too!

Does everything an expensive oximeter does and I have checked it against my RN's and have equivalent results. Worth evry cent as it provides a very fast snapshot of how ell your heart is doing especially during a workout.

This pulse ox I meter is wonderful. I am a Healthcare provider and work in an ER. I need a device that is fast, accurate, durable, and easily identified as mine. This pink pulse ox is just the ticket! To top it all off, it shows you a waveform that is crucial when monitoring respirations. I love this item and how fast it shipped!

I use this frequently to check my O2 levels. Goes through batteries more quickly than I'd prefer, but it does the job.

Absolutely love mine! I'm a nurse and this was by far the best thing I've purchased when it comes to work (besides my stethoscope of course) I just keep it in my pocket and it comes in handy for peace of mind when a patient is not looking so good.
