I was carrying this lid back from checking the mail & was confronted by my wife’s ex. He was quite upset with me for calling in a tip to the local NBC affiliate, who then investigated him & his office for dumping used boats in remote lakes in our county, instead of paying to have them taken to the dump. He was hopping mad, as you can imagine. He yelled my name & as I turned he fired two shots from his 1988 Swamp Peat Green Mercury Cougar. I didn’t even mean to deflect those bullets with my Alpha Living lid, it was all adrenaline & instinct in that split second. He peeled off & I stood there stunned, a pool of fresh yellow slurry dripping down my leg & into my shoe. It took me a full minute to realize that my Alpha Living lid deflected those bullets & that I’d live to see the series finale of Kim’s Convenience.

Fits 12" Calphalon fry-pan perfectly, 10-1/2" Costco fry-pan sloppily (apparently an in-between size, because it has to sit on two different lid "rings" as the same time resulting in it being a little cock-eyed and not well sealed), 9" Costco fry-pan poorly (lid is too wide and hits fry-pan handle and lifts it just enough to keep from making any kind of seal.)It appears to be a pretty solid lid and well made, but since I bought it primarily for use with the two smaller fry-pans the jury is out on whether or not I'll keep it.This is not a domed lid, it is recessed but you lose only about 5/8" from top edge of pan to bottom of lid (which, though, might make it a poor choice if cooking thick items, i.e. chicken breasts, in a shallower fry-pan like my Calphalon.)One other reviewer noted that they often burn themselves when setting the hot lid upside down on a counter. I could see where that could easily happen, as we usually turn lids upside down, too, to keep the accumulated condensed moisture (and splattered grease, cooking liquids, etc.) inside the lid from running all over the counter. Since this lid is recessed instead of domed, however, I get the feeling the moisture and whatever else is still going to end up on the counter anyway.

I took a chance on this since I really didn't want to buy a bunch of Lids that we're clear that would fit all of my pans but I am so pleased to but I am so pleased to say that this took care of all of those problems. You can still see through it because of the middle being glass and it does a great job on all my pans and pots. It seems to fit every one of them. I'm glad I took a chance and I hope you will too.

I love these lids because I have an eclectic variety of pots and pans without lids. With this I have "One Lid to Rule Them All!"

Already put the lid to use. So nice to not have to search for the exact fitting lid for my pot or skillet. Works well, but large...Because of the size, best to let the lid cool off, before attempting to clean it. I like to clean as I cook, but wait to clean this lid, to the very last. If you have the room in your kitchen, I highly recommend getting this lid.

This lid is of very good quality. Just make sure you're buying for a deep enough pan. With every notch toward the center these universal lids go in deeper into a pan. Not ideal for a frying pan is is not deep.

This was a gift for my daughter. She has numerous pans with no lids to fit them. She uses it all the time and doesn't even need to try and find any of her other lids because it fits such a wide variety of pans. She love the vent on it and it is clear so she can see her food.

recivido: 13:25 p.m. de 15/05/2019, perfectas condiciones en su caja, excelente la forma, para algunos sartenes, puesto que su forma conica ligeramente invertida, dirige los liquidos de condensacion al interior, interesante concepto, si tienes un sarten, que tenga el mango para sujetarlo un poco alto, la forma que tiene la tapa es sumamente utila mi me fue util, gracias. actualizacion: 26/07/2019, que puedo decir, sigo cocinando, me facilito la vido, sin problemas, quien dijo que el hombre no cocina.

Sirve como tapa universal ya que viene para varios tamaños, claro cada tamaño significa un borde, por lo que al lavarla hay que hacerlo con todos los bordes, nada grave. Parece un poco absurdo usar una tapa grande enn una olla chica o mediana, pero yo. No tengo todas mis ollas con tapa, así que me funciona muy bien.

Cumple bien su función. Sin embargo, si te interesa ver relativamente claro el contenido abajo del vidrio, está medio en chino, porque se tapa todo por el vapor de lo que sea que estés cocinando. Aún así, el hecho de que se pueda usar en sartenes de diferente tamaño, lo hace muy bueno, y lo recomiendo.

Buen producto en relación costo y variedad de medidas a la que se adapta. Poco práctico por el diseño cóncavo cuando el contenido en la olla o sartén esta en la máxima capacidad. El material es delgado como lo dice en la caja y no en la descripción que ofertan. Sería bueno que el mango tuviera algún material aislante.

Útil tapa para gratinar en diferentes medidas de sartenes, sería más conveniente si tuviera una parte transparente para poder ver el avance del gratinado pero aun así la recomiendo.
