Sig Sauer Blackpoint Tactical P365 Appendix Carry Holster, Right Hand, Black, HOL-365-APX-RH

Consider this before buying for AIWB carry.
Based on reviews I decided to give this a try. As a background I have been using holsters from JM Custom Kydex and Dark Star Gear since 2015. This holster, while fantastically crafted using quality 'kydex', is absolutely not useful for appendix carry. The holster body is very well constructed and gives a most positive 'click' as well as securely holding the pistol - easily passing the 'shake upside down test' - but not holding so well that extraction of the pistol is hard, it is a perfect balance.. There is no doubt that the holster will retain the pistol but not bind the draw in any way.The holster arrives with the 1.5" steel belt clip set so the holster rides in the lowest position - this is 100% not useful as at least 25% of the grip is BELOW your belt line. Adjusting the belt clip to the absolute lowest position to give the highest ride is still not enough, but it is useable - barely. The wing is VERY effective at rotating the grip into the body. However, since this holster is small (it is for a P365 after all) and the wing is obviously designed for a larger gun/holster, there is not enough room for your knuckles during the gripping portion of the draw. Yes, practice drawing more than a few times and your knuckles will have missing skin. There is no way to lower the wing (amazingly you can RAISE the wing via the belt nub though), and lowering the ride via the belt clip puts you back into the problem of the grip not clearing your belt line as well as not increasing the distance from grip to wing nub anyway. Swapping out the OEM wing with a Dark Wing or Mod Wing will likely fix this problem as the highest point of those is about 1/3" LOWER than the Blackpoint Tactical design. You could shave off a portion of the nub but this is an $85 dollar holster! The wing and nub are well made, however.I did not try using this as a strong-side IWB holster since I do not carry that way anymore. Also, it is still an $85 holster that, in the IWB role, is WAY overpriced at that point. So as already mentioned, the quality of the materials is great and the fit of the holster to the P365 as well, no question there. The execution of the design is lacking greatly. If Blackpoint Tactical would redesign this holster to give about 1/2" more of lowering adjustment in the belt clip AND wing I think it would work splendidly. There is NO way anyone at Blackpoint Tactical ever tried to use this holster in an AIWB role.FWIW, there was no SIG logo. i don't care about that at all, but obviously the picture does not match the received product.I am returning this holster as it is not useable for me in its advertised role.

Not a minimalist product + painful claw
The first words of the product description are: "designed to be a minimal appendix carry holster" which is an outright curiosity since most kydex IWB's of this design do not extend so far beyond the barrel. My first issue, same as others, was with the claw - which ultimately CANNOT be used and was removed. The claw sits at a height that will not allow purchase on the handle without injury to your knuckles. So, I used a tool to destroy the top of the claw to accommodate a man's finger between it and the P365 Grip.Ok, claw doesn't work on this IWB. - trashed it. To clarify, claw does provide a slightly more discreet profile IF you can get your finger between it and the handgun.Next and my biggest issue - I paid top $$$ for this holster because I like this type for it's affirmative draw and easy reholstering and for the simple fact...this is about as small as they come---well, not the Black Point Tactical...They chose to make a holster for a micro-compact that extends beyond the pistol by 5/16", a significant amount considering the overall length of this 9mm wonder.I have several IWB clip on holsters just like this one that do not extend beyond the barrel. My G23 holster from a highly promoted company here on Amazon is designed to fit the G23 perfectly, was 1/2 the cost and twice as functional. The P365 rides so well just about anywhere on you. It is forgettable during the day. I do use this clip on Sig endorsed product but I am 100% certain this was a waste of money and a failed product.Want a positive aspect to help justify overpaying? It's got a $5 metal clip....which isn't even engraved with the company logo... buy this product and you are OVERPAYING.

Perfect.
I put a clip on it which doesn’t require a belt to be worn and it’s worked perfectly. Mine doesn’t have the Sig logo like in the pics but since I didn’t buy it for show, not a big deal.

Great product
Nice product fits the Sig 365 as described. The only issue was the delivery was to the wrong address. Fortunately, it was delivered to the neighbor next door by mistake.I saw the driver deliver the product, as I was outside when the truck arrived. However, he dropped off a package to the lady next to where we live. When I later saw that the product had been delivered but there was not photo and nothing on our doorstep, I decided to look on the neighbors porch. There it was. I was glad we found it.Great product and the deliver was not the fault of the retailer.

Not Like the Picture, but Good
The first thing that struck me is that the holster is lacking the “Sig” monogram on the holster. I was kind of disappointed by that for some reason. I guess I expected to receive EXACTLY what I ordered. Otherwise this holster functions wonderfully and does a great job of concealing my P365. I even use the longer of the magazines and it still conceals my P365 quite well.

Exactly what I was looking for as an EDC holster.
Absolutely perfect holster for appendix carry with my P365. I am 5’10” and weigh 330+ pounds and I am able to comfortably appendix carry this Goldwater better than I I have tried. Currently sitting down while typing this review. If you are my size I highly recommend you Google 300th parallel in regards to how to comfortably appendix carry… That being said as soon as I added a woman’s size 6 to 10 Dr. Scholl’s gel heel insert it may be the best holster I’ve ever used as my EDC. The price is a little high, but all the specifications were exactly what I needed for a good appendix carry… The metal clip sits higher up on the holster leaving a larger amount of under the waistband… The wing really assists in minimizing, to almost completely eliminating, printing in almost any position. I highly recommend.

My favorite holster of the thousands i have.
There's not a box that doesn't get a check mark. Quality, comfort, design, fit, looks, claw included. My only issue is that I lost the screws for retention. Does anyone know the screw size or if I contact sig or blackpoint?
